What is the cost of used cars in 1404?

The spokesperson of the component manufacturers’ association stated: Our proposal is to allow the import of cars without transferring currency, because it will cause a sharp decrease in the price of cars, reduce pollutants, increase the government’s income and replace them with worn out cars. But the permission to import cars depends on scrapping a certain number of used cars.
Voice of Bors – Farhad Behnia stated in the nationwide gathering of parts manufacturers of the country: If the auto and parts industry was guided properly, we would not have seen many problems. Iran has the first place in the world for wasting traffic time, 96% of Tehran’s cars are parked on the streets, and in this regard, Iran ranks first, and in terms of pollutants, Tehran is the fourth most polluted city in the world. The number of clean days in Tehran in 2017 was about 35 days in 2018, 28 days in 2019, about 15 days in 2014, and 4 days in 2014.
He added: One of the most important factors of air pollution are things like fossil power plants, outdated transportation, etc. The side cost of Tehran’s pollution in 1400 was 60 thousand billion Tomans. In the world, 9 million people have become victims of air pollution, of which 41 thousand were in Iran. The side costs of these conditions in 2018 were about 75 thousand billion tomans, which reached 81 thousand billion tomans in 2019. This figure can reach 10 billion dollars in 1404.
Bahnia added: There are 3 million and 180 thousand used cars in the country. This amount causes the consumption of 45 million liters of gasoline more, which is a loss of more than 53 thousand billion tomans. The number of used cars in 1404 can reach 8 million cars.
He continued: In 2016, it was approved that according to Table 8, used cars should be scrapped. With the complaint of one person without the presence of government representatives, in the court of Table 8, abortion centers were closed and six thousand people were unemployed. Licenses were also handed over to technical examination centers. The share of each Iranian from the damage caused to the country by the location of these cars in 1404 reaches 7 million 300 thousand tomans. 350,000 citizens fell ill due to this reason, which reached one million in 1404.
The spokesperson of the Association of Manufacturers said: In addition, one of the causes of water shortage in the country is the issue of pollution, according to studies, polluted particles prevent rain. Also, each car needs 12.5 meters of space for parking, which requires 76 thousand billion tomans. The traffic of each car requires 15 cubic meters of space, and the cost of asphalt reaches 50 thousand billion tomans. If this trend continues, an investment equal to 120 thousand billion Tomans should be made by 1404 only for asphalt and parking.
He added: Also, if this trend continues, the cost of maintaining used cars will reach 230 thousand billion tomans. The amount of this damage is equal to the tax income of 1401. With the continuation of this trend, the cost of used cars in 1404 will be four times the tax income
Bahnia said: Another consequence of this issue is the reduction of production. In terms of car production, Iran was ranked 13th in 2010, but due to the wrong policies that were implemented, it lost this rank and our trend went down. In addition to this, car manufacturers made losses, which were transferred to parts manufacturers. A significant decrease in job creation and an increase in consumer dissatisfaction have been the consequences of this issue.
He pointed out: the car has become a capital good, big profits go to dealers and traders. This issue should be prevented by freeing the car price. In 1400, about 30 thousand billion Tomans and in 2009 about 43 thousand billion Tomans were awarded to dealers.
The spokesman of the country’s component manufacturers’ association said: if used cars are not removed, the government will spend 200 thousand billion tomans annually. While the government can help by providing 8 to 10 billion tomans of 4% facility to the sale of car leasing and its replacement with used cars. If this issue is implemented by 1404, the government’s profit will be between 180 and 200 thousand billion tomans.
He added: Our proposal is to allow the import of cars without transferring currency, because it will cause a sharp decrease in the price of cars, reduce pollutants, increase the government’s income and replace them with worn-out cars, but allow the import of cars to be subject to the scrapping of a certain number of worn-out cars. The price of the car inside and outside the country is very different. A 2013 car model inside the country is 14.5 billion tomans and the zero model of the same car is 3.6 billion tomans abroad with today’s exchange rate.
He added: By smoothing the path of import, an effective step is taken that the government can use the income from it to spend in areas such as the environment. In addition to this, daily platforms are created for car manufacturers, which makes it possible to export, create jobs for one and a half million people, and prevent illness, loss of life, etc.
